How We Calculate This
This calculator uses colour theory to recommend the correct toner shade and then calculates volumes based on hair length and tone intensity.
Colour cancellation
- Brass / gold: Cancel with violet
- Orange / copper: Cancel with blue / ash
- Yellow: Cancel with violet / lavender
- Red: Cancel with green / matt
Volume calculation
Toner = Base amount x Tone intensity x Length factor
Developer = Toner x Developer ratio
